Ashley Thurman, NP-C, DCNP

Ashley Thurman, NP-C, DCNP is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) through the Dermatology Nurse Association. She has practiced dermatology since 2010, primarily in the Hixson area, and joined Susong Dermatology in 2022.

Ashley is a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. She attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation from nursing school, Ashley worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit. She returned to school at Southern Adventist University where she earned her Master of Science in nursing and graduated with honors.

Ashley has honed a patient-centered, holistic approach to care and enjoys seeing the wide spectrum of dermatology conditions in all ages. She practices general and surgical dermatology.

Ashley resides on Signal Mountain, TN with her husband and two children.
During her (rare) free time you can find her in the garden, reading, trail running, camping and pretty much anything outdoors….with sun protection, of course!
