Uderm, PLLC is a locally-based, privately-owned medical and surgical dermatology practice near Chattanooga, TN.

Started in 2020, our company exists to provide the highest quality patient care to our greater Chattanooga community. In addition to expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, our Mayo Clinic-trained dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Miller, leads our team to ensure patients receive excellent care in a convenient and comfortable fashion. Because of our comprehensive scope of practice, we are a full-service destination for patients of all ages and skin conditions. Meet Our Team


Jonathan Miller, MD

Jonathan Miller, MD, FAAD

Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon in Chattanooga, TN

Dr. Miller is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon at our office in Ooltewah, TN. He received his medical doctorate, along with academic scholarships and coursework honors, from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He then completed a transitional year internship at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and a Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship with the Surgical Dermatology Group in Birmingham, AL, where he participated in over 2,500 Mohs surgeries and reconstructions.

Dr. Miller has been active in research and innovation through publishing articles in peer-reviewed medical and surgical dermatology journals, presenting at national conferences, and creating a comprehensive dermatology education app.

He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and maintains memberships with the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American College of Mohs Surgery, and the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.

Prior to medicine, Dr. Miller obtained an undergraduate degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University, and worked for two years in critical care before spending a year as a missionary nurse in the Philippines. Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, aviation, fishing, outdoor activities, and volunteering in his community.

Kristie Obranovich, PA-C

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

Kristie Obranovich, P.A.-C., is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Alabama at Birmingham Surgical Physician Assistant Program. She earned her undergraduate degree in three years from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health Science.
Kristie is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by both the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and Tennessee State Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. As a Physician Assistant Kristie has received specialized training in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and earned the title of Diplomate Fellow under the SDPA Fellowship Program. The SDPA Fellowship Program represents the standard in dermatology PA education, allowing graduates to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care in dermatology.


Julie Miller

Registered Nurse and Aesthetic Specialist

Julie Miller is a registered nurse and aesthetic specialist. She graduated with her nursing degree from Southern Adventist University in 2011. As a new nurse, she quickly identified with the significance of nurturing whole-person care and well-being. Embracing this mindset led the way in expanding her knowledge, skill, and experience, giving her a unique perspective personally and professionally. After years of practice in women’s services, neonatal care, plastic surgery, medical aesthetics, and patient education, she found a perfect fit in dermatology. Julie is excited to continue to serve the community of the greater Chattanooga area and honored to care for the residents of her hometown. After hours, you can find Julie teaching Pure Barre classes, spending quality time with family, and living a full life with her fiancé, Tommy, and their little sheltie Finn. 


Lynette Morgan

Medical Assistant

Lynette Morgan was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN where she graduated valedictorian from Miller-Motte College. She received her Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification through NHA and has been working in dermatology for over two years. She is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science. She enjoys hiking and fishing with her two pit bulls and Veteran husband of 3 years. 


Kristen Pelfrey

Medical Assistant

Kristen Pelfrey is an experienced Medical Assistant and Dermatology Technician who has served in Dermatology around the Chattanooga area for over 5 years. Being born and raised in Dayton, TN, she ended up moving to Chattanooga about 4 years ago to be closer to job opportunities and her school. After graduating, she immediately started in the Dermatology field and fell in love with the hands-on role- especially in surgery. She has a passion for helping others and serving in the children’s ministry at her church. You can find Kristen out and about on spontaneous adventures, crafting or working on projects, or at a football game supporting the Volunteers! (Go Vols!) 


Beth Hehn

Practice Administrator

Beth has 24 years of progressive responsibility in the development, growth, and leadership of physician practices, including integrating multi-specialty practices within a health care system. She has been recognized as an exceptional operational and management leader with proven ability to drive organizational change and aligning teams of physicians and employees to achieve strategic business goals. One of her passions is equipping practice managers to meet the needs of their patients, physicians, and staff and she served over 15 years on the Executive Board of the local chapter of the Medical Group Management Association. Beth and her husband Bruce enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.


Kim Mitchell 

Front Desk 

Kim Mitchell was born in Chardon, OH, and raised in Georgia where she currently resides. In 19 years of working in medical offices she has “done everything”, but her area of expertise has been billing and insurance. Prior to Uderm, she has worked in a variety of medical specialties, most recently OBGYN. She enjoys spending time with her husband, five boys, and several grandchildren.


Jessie Hansen Harbin

Billing and Insurance Specialist

Jessie grew up in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Drake University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Chattanooga for a three-month internship and never left. Since then Jessie has worked for a variety of non-profit organizations, published a collection of essays, and worked as a paralegal for a small law office. In 2020, she decided to transition to the medical field and began training to become a certified professional coder. In her free time, Jessie enjoys a wide variety of interests including traveling, hiking with Opal the dog, and operating a construction-sized excavator.


Tim Wilson

Histotechnician

Tim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Adventist University and has worked in Chattanooga for over a decade. He has a diverse set of skills including IT, case management, and medical assisting in various hospital roles. Most of his career has been as a histotechnician, preparing specimens as a microtomist for microscopic examination. An outgoing and jovial man, Tim is a technology enthusiast, enjoys building computers, and shares a love of animals with his wife of twenty-five years.
