Uderm, PLLC is a locally-based, privately-owned medical and surgical dermatology practice in Ooltewah, TN. Started in 2020, our company exists to provide the highest quality patient care to our greater Chattanooga community. In addition to expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, our Mayo Clinic-trained dermatologist, Dr. Jonathan Miller, leads our team to ensure patients receive excellent care in a convenient and comfortable fashion. Because of our comprehensive scope of practice, we are a full-service destination for patients of all ages and skin conditions. Meet Our Team
Jonathan Miller, MD
Prior to medicine, Dr. Miller obtained an undergraduate degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University, and worked for two years in critical care before spending a year as a missionary nurse in the Philippines. Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, aviation, fishing, outdoor activities, and volunteering in his community.
Beth has 24 years of progressive responsibility in the development, growth and leadership of physician practices, including integrating multi-specialty practices within a health care system. She has been recognized as an exceptional operational and management leader with proven ability to drive organizational change and aligning teams of physicians and employees to achieve strategic business goals. One of her passions is equipping practice managers to meet the needs of their patients, physicians and staff and she served over 15 years on the Executive Board of the local chapter of the Medical Group Management Association. Beth and her husband Bruce enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Jessie Hansen Harbin
Front Desk and Billing Specialist
Jessie grew up in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Drake University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing. Shortly after graduation she moved to Chattanooga for a three-month internship and never left. Since then Jessie has worked for a variety of non-profit organizations, published a collection of essays, and worked as a paralegal for a small law office. In 2020, she decided to transition to the medical field and began training to become a certified professional coder. In her free time, Jessie enjoys a wide variety of interests including traveling, hiking with Opal the dog, and operating a construction-sized excavator.
Esther Lopez Garrido
Ester was born and raised in Southern California and currently lives in Chattanooga for the second time. Because her passion is working to improve community health, she first moved to Chattanooga to pursue training in health education. This led her to work as a teacher in Cambodia, Tanzania, Kenya, and several regions of the United States. When Ester moved back to Chattanooga, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Southern Adventist University. Ester seeks to provide excellent care and education to each patient at Uderm. She is of Ecuadorian and Colombian descent and speaks Spanish fluently, allowing her to further assist Uderm patients who prefer to communicate in Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, recording music, teaching, and hiking to waterfalls.
Certified Medical Assistant
Colleen is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but has lived all over the U.S. Prior to moving to TN almost 5 years ago, she lived in Honolulu, HI for 9 years. While living in HI, she received her Associate in Applied Science from Heald College and medical assistant certification through AAMA. Colleen has been a CMA for 10 years and has found her passion and niche in dermatology. She is married to her husband Lindsey, and they have four children. In her spare time, she enjoys various family activities on the lake, playing with her kids, paddle boarding and working out.
Tim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Adventist University and has worked in Chattanooga for over a decade. He has a diverse set of skills including IT, case management, and medical assisting in various hospital roles. Most of his career has been as a histotechnician, preparing specimens as a microtomist for microscopic examination. An outgoing and jovial man, Tim is a technology enthusiast, enjoys building computers, and shares a love of animals with his wife of twenty-five years.
